International Shipments - Severe Delays Should Be Expected
Please be advised that severe delays are being encountered with all international shipments shipping via the US Postal Service (including our International Economy service) due to the current worldwide COVID-19 situation. We have been advised that transit time will likely take an additional 30 to 90+ days on top of the normal transit time.
Where possible (if the cost is the same or less than the stated shipping amount when the order was placed) we are automatically switching shipping to FedEx International Express. If you want to be considered for FedEx Express International shipping even if it costs more, please let us know in the checkout comments. We will then email you the cost of FedEx Express Internaional shipping, and then you can let us know if you want to upgrade and pay the additional costs.
Tracking Numbers
We have had a lot of new customers recently, so we thought we would post this.
For UPS or USPS, it can take up to one business day before tracking shows any data. For USPS, please note that their scanning systems are not as good/reliable as UPS so occasionally the only scan shown is the delivery scan.
For international customers who select International Economy as the shipping method, it can take sometimes up to a week before tracking shows any data.
How to Email an Order
Orders can be placed online as always, or emailed to us at help@spruebrothers.com. If you place an email order, be sure to include the following information:
- Billing Address
- Shipping Address (if different than your billing address)
- Email Address of your account
- Item(s) Ordered (include quantity, our SKU and description)
- Shipping Method (if omitted we will assumed it is Standard Shipping)
- Payment method
- If PayPal - we will send you a PP Money Request
- If Credit card, we will use your CC on file - just provide us with the CVV code. If you do not have a credit card on file, please log in to your account and add one to your account prior to ordering
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Emails / Emails Not Received
Please be aware that we send you two emails for each order placed: the Order Confirmation email (sent when order is placed) and the Shipping Notification email (sent when we process/ship your order). If you are not receiving either or both of these email (or any other emails such as responses to emails sent to help@spruebrothers.com , this likely means either your ISP is blocking them; they are in your spam folder; or your spam filter settings may be set too high (this is particularly an issue with AOL and Earthlink/Mindspring email accounts).
What does 'In Stock' mean to us?
Our definition of 'In Stock' means that the item is actually in our warehouse (not at our distributors'/suppliers' warehouse) and is ready to immediately ship to you.

Inventory Questions
We have been receiving a lot of inquiries lately regarding whether we actually have something in stock as our website indicates. This is likely due to the practices of other online hobby stores who have a different definition of what 'In Stock' means. In case you are not familiar with our business practices, we use a real time inventory system that shows (accurately and live/in real time) what is available for sale and how many. It automatically and instantly updates the available quantities after each order is successfully placed.
Also, our definition of 'In Stock' means that the item is actually in our warehouse (not at our distributors'/suppliers' warehouse) and is ready to immediately ship to you. Thus if you order from us, you will reliably and quickly receive what you order. On a side note, we are also human, so on rare occasion something could be in error, however our error rate in 2009 to-date has well been less than 0.1%.
Everything listed as IN STOCK is actually in stock* - If you see it, we have it - no need to wait for us to get it in before we ship to you like some other retailers. We typically ship the next business day after receipt of payment which means you get your item quickly.
Continental US (lower 48 states) Customers - our standard policy is for half price shipping for orders of $100, and free shipping for orders over $200 via the lowest cost ground shipping method (either UPS Ground, or USPS Parcel Post).
* The displayed inventory is in real time / the only exception is when we are vending at a show (show list above) which we update our inventory with 24 hours of the show's end.
Please feel free to contact us at help@spruebrothers.com if you have any questions.
